What are some of your professional accomplishments? (modeling or otherwise) When I was an undergraduate in Molecular & Cell Biology, I was a contributing author in a scientific paper published in ‘Behavioral Brain Research’ titled “Long-term behavioral consequences of stress exposure in adolescent versus young adult rats.”
“Be yourself and don’t let anyone change things that you are not comfortable with.”
Any cool modeling experiences to share? My first time modeling was with my band “Fall II Rise” and I just stood around looking serious and mean. It was definitely an entirely different world once I started modeling as a bodybuilder. It put into perspective the hard work that goes into the sport, and it was a great reward after dieting and training for a competition.
Best things about Bikini Modeling? Worst things? Best is the praise and recognition of molding your body in a way that is idolized and often seen as a source of inspiration. Worst is it can be a dangerous thing if not speaking openly about the facts of model shots not being a day-to-day physique. Models are inspiring to some and it is important, as a model, to promote health and well-being above all!
Any advice for those looking to get into modeling? Be yourself and don’t let anyone change things that you are not comfortable with. A lot of people questioned whether or not I should wear my natural hair. What makes you feel comfortable and empowered in a shot, that is the way to go!
“The way others see you is a reflection of how you see yourself.”
What is the motto or mantra you try to live your life by? “The way others see you is a reflection of how you see yourself.” It is mandatory to work hard for your own growth, regardless of what others might think. Opinions are just that.
What keeps you busy? Working as a fitness coach and trainer, nutrition (cooking and meal prepping) and Training. Performing with my band Fall II Rise. Spending quality time with my friends and family.
What is your view on tattoos? Do as you please with your body, as long as it does not interfere with the well-being of others. I have one tattoo in my right side. It is a large torso piece of a birdcage with 5 birds flying out, but remaining side by side. It is a daily reminder of all members of my family. And, even if we are apart, we will always be together.
What is your dream job? I am working towards being self-employed to coach and teach people how to become their best self, engulfing mind, soul, and body. This will include traveling and seeing as much as possible of what this world has to offer!

What do you do to stay in shape, or are you just a genetic freak? NOT a genetic freak at all. My family has never been athletic and growing up I was terrible at sports. It all comes down to consistency, dedication, and enjoying the process. For the last couple of years I have consistently trained a minimum of three times per week, and tracked my macro-nutrients. I also listen to my body. If I am too tired or ill, I rest. If I feel like eating out and getting some FroYo, I will! Enjoy the process. This is a lifestyle!

Are you excited about the release of this of VIGOROUS with you in it? Yes! Growing up, I was never the pretty girl and was very self-conscious. This is a reminder that the opinions of others are greatly influenced by your opinion of yourself! Flattered by Vigorous Magazine, and proud of being an ethnic female!
